What the heck is wrong with people? Did Cracker Jack start handing out licenses again???

Driving home tonight, we come to a red light. It changes to green with a green arrow for left. We start to make our left and first a car runs it going straight throught (they have a red light) then when we slow a sec to avoid hitting them, a car tries to cut us off, turning right on red without stopping! We go around then and cut in, only to have them pass us, SWERVE AT US and put their window down to swear. Needless to say, my DH had plenty of yelling of his own to do back, but really? They were in the wrong, just hang your head and stay back. We have all screwed up on the road but why compound it?

No question, I am a little more likely to let this go than my DH but all the same, it drives me nuts. After riding with my little one for the prerequisite 30 hours so she could get her license, I got a really good handle on how people act around other cars. Having been driving for over 18 years, I really didn't notice anymore until I was trying to teach someone else how to react.

It's all craziness... I remember when kids could play ball in the street and ride their bikes on the side of the road. It's not like you'll actually get there any faster (we live 10 minutes outside town.)

Anyway....guess I am starting off with the "rant" part of my blog. Hopefully the next one will not be typed immediately following someone pissing me off.
